Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day from a mother, teacher, nurse, chauffeur, maid, cook, shoulder to cry on...

In May of 1995 I became a mother. After 41 long hours of labor (don't ask), my son Adam entered the world. Now that he's a teenager I've learned that a mother's love is unconditional. Most of the time he's a really great kid but like all teenagers, he has his moments. I love my boy and I'm very proud of who he's become.

My daughter Emily arrived in July 1998. She came a week early (thank goodness, considering she was a summer baby). Preteen girls need an extra dose of love to help them through the confusion of changing bodies and periods. I believe it's a time when a girl needs her mom more than ever. My girl is the best daughter I could ask for.

This year I bought myself a Mother's Day gift. After my husband's accident, I needed to treat myself to something pretty. I bought a pretty fucshia plant for my front door and I made the yummy strawberry pie recipe I posted the other day. I made a pie for my own mom too.

I've compiled a list of quotes about mothers. Feel free to print it out for your scrapbook or cardmaking. Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters and friends!
