2010 Resolutions check list

Once again it's time to see how our resolutions are going. Did you keep yours? (did you even make any?)

I'm so proud of myself this year. I'm still sticking with mine! They say you need to do something for 3-4 weeks to make it a habit. I got off track a few times but I've been good about getting right back on. Even when my husband had his accident, I stumbled and fell for a few days but I got right back into things within a week. I am woman. Hear me roar.

On January 2, 2010,  I posted my 2010 resolutions. It's time to go over them and see where I am today, May 17, 2010.

1. Declutter every room of the house. This is the big one that I've stuck with. The main living area of my house is looking pretty awesome these days. It will never be perfect. Our things are old but nothing is dirty and clutter is now a four letter word. I've purged and organized cabinets and closets, washed windows and curtains, shinied up wood floors and cleared out under beds. I've now moved on to the basement. Yeehaw. Our tag sale is only a few short weeks away and I want to clear out as much as is humanly possible.

2. Exercise more. That's a tough one. I used to love to walk the neighborhood with my mp3 plugged into my ears. These days I can't seem to motivate myself to get out there. So for the time being I'm doing my once-a-week Zumba class, which I love. The only thing that's kept me from going was when I was sick (I've missed one class since starting in January). In July the class will change to two nights a week, which I'm really looking forward to.

3. Volunteer. I considered volunteering at a local animal shelter but it never happened. We did, however, adopt a shelter kitty. Does that count?
Notice the irony of this photo?

4. Scrap more. As you can see from this blog, I've been scrapping quite a bit. I hit a speed bump this month when I needed to be a nurse for my injured husband. Once he can do more for himself, and when the kids' activities slow down, I'll get back to my scrap table. I also have to put scrapping on the back burner until after my tag sale, which is Memorial Day weekend. So much to do, so little time. No wonder I'm exhausted these days.

The accomplishment I'm most proud of is getting my house in order. I look forward to reviewing my resolutions and accomplishments again in a few months.

Go Judy!

I'm working on keeping my flat clean, and I'm pretty much managing it.

I'm putting lots of work into the Littlest Thistle stuff, and have sold a bear now to someone I didn't know from my website (well I thought that was an achievement lol), and I got published

I started climbing as a new way of keeping fit, and was keeping that up until the broken collar bone. 7 more weeks before I'm allowed back :o(

Think that's all I got!

Good job Judy. I didn't make any resolutions this year; except to create 100 layouts...oh boy......I'm in big trouble already. The good thing is I might be able to 'catch up' and keep that resolution. I've done 22; should have done 35. But have created some other paper craft items that have kept me from doing layouts.....(that's my excuse)...

good for you Judy...
have you ever checked out www.flylady.net.
It offers good tips to getting the clutter out (in your house and in your body). I've used many of her ideas for cleaning, organizing.etc.
