I also bought another item that I would love to show off but it's a gift so I can't post it here. Little eyes might be peeking!

My latest purchases!
I had $3.00 burning a hole in my Paypal account. I spotted a pretty paper pack on Etsy a few days ago and I kept thinking about it. The papers would be great on both scrapbook pages and cards. I broke down and bought them. Thanks to the $3.00 survey I took online last week, these only cost me 85 cents!

Look What I Won!
I won this beautiful tote bag by Sids in Stitches in a drawing on DZ Fantasy's blog last week. I promised Sid that I would model it on my blog after it arrived. Unfortunately, life got in the way this week and there's still no pics of me with my new bag. I did, however, borrow the image from the winning blog entry to show it off here. It's even prettier in real life and I can't wait to use it! I'm saving it for spring because the colors more springy than fallish. A huge thank you again to Sid's in Stitches and DZ Fantasy!

Penguins!
When I found this penguin pattern on MyScrapChick.com I knew I had to make some Christmas cards with it. I love them so much I almost hate to let them go!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
In my Etsy shop that is!
I've been busy, busy, busy getting ready for a craft show my daughter and I are doing in a month. I'm concentrating on Christmas - tags and cards mainly but I also plan to make up some gift boxes for my daughter's earrings. I cropped with some friends over the weekend and got a lot of cards made. They'll being making it into the Etsy shop over the next week. Tags seem to be popular. Less than 24 hours after listing my first batch on Etsy I got a good size custom order so yay for that! Today I have to head to Joann's for more Christmas ribbon. I'm just about completely out and because I'm a ribbon junkie I can't function anymore without it! I tried, I really did. My latest cards don't have any ribbon which is unusual for me.
Check out my newest card and tags. I'll be filling my shop with more single cards for those who prefer not to buy a set.

Gift tags, gift tags, gift tags!
I have to do a quick post & run but I wanted to show off my latest listings. It's time to start wrapping those Christmas gifts you bought at the after-Christmas sales last year. Make a list of what you bought so you don't forget and buy something else for that person.
Are you like me and have to make sure each child has an equal number of gifts under the tree? Thank goodness my kids are older now and that's not a big deal anymore. I used to drive myself crazy with that. It would be three days before Christmas and I'd realize that I went overboard on one or the other.
Anyway, here's my gift tags, all available in the Christmas Shop section of my Etsy shop (along with Christmas cards). I'm going to a crop at a friend's house tomorrow so I'll be listing more card packs next week!
I hope everyone stays warm and dry this weekend!

Pumpkin People!
We took a mini vacation to the White Mountains of NH over Columbus Day weekend. It rained half the time we were there - sadness - so we had to alter our original plans. We took a drive to North Conway to walk around the little shops. During our journey along route 302 we spotted pumpkin people. There's a contest of some sort going on and residents and businesses set up these pumpkin people in their yards, parking lots and along the tree belt. I only got a few pictures of them. My sister has more but hasn't sent them to me yet. Aren't these fun?
We spotted these at the Covered Bridge Gift Shoppe in Bartlett, NH.
Phew, this lady needed to rest after all that shopping!
And this guy was video taping the whole scene!

Really Cool Blog Widget for Shopping Etsy!
I wanted to show you the cool widget I found while browsing the forums on Etsy. See that little slide show on the left? You can buy my items from that. It's still in test mode so I don't know how well it works just yet. I was able to try it out by replying to this thread on Etsy. Click here They also have a couple of other fun features you can play with on their website. http://cr8tivity.com/
I added a new set of Christmas cards to my shop tonight. These are four cards made with Stampin Up and Bazzill cardstock, quality patterned papers and Stampin Up stamps. They have an old fashioned, aged look to them. They're blank inside so you can write your own personal message. I always adhere white cardstock inside the cards I make with darker cardstock.

I made two sets of Christmas gift tags tonight and hope to get those listed before Friday. We're leaving for a mini vacay Friday afternoon and I have lots of packing and cooking to do before then!

I'm not "card bored" yet!
It's been a productive cardmaking week for me. I've been pumping out a few just about everyday. We're doing a craft show in November so I need to have a decent inventory built up by then. I have a to-do list a mile long running through my head.
1. Make lots and lots of cards.
2. Figure out creative way to display cards
3. Buy a mini Christmas tree to decorate table
4. Buy table cloth and/or fabric pieces to decorate
5. Find small Christmas decorations for table
6. Make earring displays
7. Make earring cards
8. Buy small bags for earrings
9. Decorate paper bags for purchases
10. Print out business cards
11. Make receipts in Word
*sigh* Good thing I've got over a month to get all of this done.
Thanks for the photo tips. Today I headed outside and re-photographed one of the cards I listed yesterday. The other (blue monkey birthday card) was a lost cause. The blues and white just don't want to work for me. I have a love/hate relationship with my camera. I'm sure part of the problem is operator error. ;-)
Anyway, here's my latest listings. I hope you like them. I appreciate everyone who follows my blog and visits my shop. :-)

More single cards listed!
I've been busy making cards this weekend! Today I made some single cards (birthday and blank note cards) and a set of Christmas cards. I've listed two new cards tonight and will be listing the rest in the next few days.
I'm having lighting issues with my photos. It's been raining all day so I couldn't do anything outside. I made a homemade light box but it's not working out. My photos still come out dark and grainy. Tonight I resorted to using a flash, which I know is a no-no but I'm getting desparate. Any suggestions? I'm not in the position to buy a light box, considering most of the items I sell are in the $5.00 range and sales aren't too great at the moment.
Anyway, here's my new items. Thanks for reading my blog again!

Krista's Knack Shack going out of business sale
I read a thread on the Etsy forums today about a seller who's closing her shop. It sounds like she's burned out and needs to be a good mommy to her young boys. As a mother I understand that family must come first. I also understand how someone can get tired of the constant need to promote in order to sell. I've questioned my own ability to continue this, but I've committed to keep going at least until Christmas.
So anyway, I digress. Please support Krista's Knack Shack during her going out of business sale. She's accepting offers and trades and you can convo her if you're interested in anything in her shop.

Only 84 days until Christmas!
Have you started thinking about your Christmas shopping yet?
New today in my Etsy shop is a set of four Christmas cards. These were handmade and paper pieced by me using quality cardstock and papers. The simple tree gives them a clean, contemporary look.
It's never too early to start stocking up! Keep checking back in my Christmas Shop section for more cards and gift tags!
