I'm having lighting issues with my photos. It's been raining all day so I couldn't do anything outside. I made a homemade light box but it's not working out. My photos still come out dark and grainy. Tonight I resorted to using a flash, which I know is a no-no but I'm getting desparate. Any suggestions? I'm not in the position to buy a light box, considering most of the items I sell are in the $5.00 range and sales aren't too great at the moment.
Anyway, here's my new items. Thanks for reading my blog again!

your pictures are lovely, as are your cards. OH do i know the woes of lighting in pictures. i have basically abandoned my etsy show due to the stress taking pictures caused me. i even made a homemade light box as well, but i couldn't get that perfect macro shot that successful sellers seem to get (even editing the pics to make them lighter just bleached out the details!) anyway just wanted you to know you aren't alone in that struggle. :) i hope it works out for you but honestly your cards look great.

I think the flash worked OK for deatils, I'd crop the images so that the shadow is cut out.
You could also try bouncing your flash or putting a thin sheet of paper (tissue or tracing paper) over top to diffuse the harsh light while taking your photos, see if that works for you.
cute cute.. I love making cards too, it's so much fun.
