I'd like to introduce you to the ladies who've stepped up to the plate as volunteer designers on my blog. They'll be submitting layouts for my Fabulous Friday Sketches. I'm happy to have such a diverse and global team of scrappers. If their names are shown as a link, check out their blogs!
Here they are, in no particular order...
Melissa Labbe
I am a wife, expecting first time mom due in August, and full time Health Information Manager. I currently live in Alabama but I am a New England girl to my core (go Red Sox!) I started scrapbooking a long time ago, but took a break away for a few years and so much has changed! I consider my style to be simple, but I am opening up to and anxious to try new techniques. I scrap the big events in life and try not to forget the little ones, so some of my photos and layouts are outside the box. Aside from scrapbooking I have just started making cards and using my supplies for other projects (I am on an adventure at scrapping and crafting frugally!) I am addicted to sketches and am really looking forward to creating layouts using Judy's!
Greetings From Annie Lou Ricci
I live in Johnston, Rhode Island with my husband, Lou. We suffer from empty house syndrome, but we are dealing with it just fine. We have two beautiful daughters. Elizabeth, the oldest, lives in Hawaii and I refer to her as ‘flip flops’ and Katharine, daughter #2, lives in NY City and I call her ‘designer shoes’! I am looking forward to helping Judy on her blog, Pieces of Me. I am the kind of person that works well with assignments and I look forward to scrapping Judy's sketches. I was in the 4th grade when I joined 4-H and I have not stopped crafting since. I think I have tried my hand at just about everything there is. Right now, scrapping is my passion. I just love paper, glue and scissors. Right now I have two scrapping groups that come to my home once a month for their "girl's night out to scrap. I have taught scrapping, and a number of other crafts, at my local stores and for Adult Education. I think the reason that scrapping has a place in my heart is that I love looking at pictures of my girls in their younger years and having happy flashbacks. And many of my friends have young children and grand children so I have plenty of new opportunities to photograph and scrap their pictures.
Jeanne
I am Jeanne Steinhiber from Hebron, Indiana. I work at Northwestern Indiana Telephone Co as a technician. I have been married since 1981 to a wonderful guy named Rick and we have one son, Steven, who is 22 and married to his bride, Genay. We have 2 cats, Stewy and Buster.
I've been scrapping since 2000 when I went to a Creative Memories party and have been addicted to scrapping ever since! Besides being in a local scrap club, I love going to scrap retreats and meeting up with online friends. I love clean lines and layouts that aren't overly busy. Sketches have always been a big part of my scrapping and I'm honored to be part of this blog.
Heather
I'm Heather, wife to James, mom to Autumn, Logan, & Megan. We live in SW Florida. I have been scrapping and cardmaking since 2007. I am a random scrapper, just do what I feel like when I feel like it. My only crafty claim to fame is a stint as guest designer at Inspirational Card Sketches at the end of June/beginning July 2009. I just finished my last round of chemotherapy for the Leukemia I was diagnosed with in September, which is now in remission. I am a major sketch user so I am really looking forward to working with Judy and her sketches.
Mary
My name is Mary Gulbrandson and live in Central Minnesota. I am married to a wonderful and supportive husband, Harvey, and together we have 4 children and 3 grandsons. We just shipped our last off to college, so we are now on our new journey in life as "Empty Nesters." I've been in the optical business for the last 20 yrs and I currently manage an in-store optical lab. I've been scrapbooking for about 12 yrs and my obsession with it began about 4 yrs ago when I got my first Cricut. I love making scrapbooks but am starting to get into making cards also.
Diana
Hi All. My name is Diana. I have always been 'artsy-craft' and used to sew a lot. In late 2004 I was at JoAnn's to pick up something and walked thru the Scrapbooking section; wondering to myself "what is this all about?" I quickly did some online research and discovered Scrapbook.com and a few other sites. When I decided I wanted to document our 2004 European vacation I thought I'd scrapbook it. That was in 2005 and I quickly fell in love with Scrapbooking. I love the creative outlet, the manner it allows me to document our memories, meeting other Scrapbookers and all that stuff one can buy. I love to play with paper. My manner of scrapping is to use lots of pictures as I like to tell the story of an event. I like small details and do consider myself a plain scrapper.
On the personal side I have been happily married to my high school sweetheart for a long time and he still makes me laugh everyday. We have two grown (married) children and just became first time Grandparents; which is exciting. I now have a new subject to scrapbook...and of course she's a cutie.
I am Sunnydi on Scrapbook.com.
Shannon
Hi I'm Shannon. I've been scrapbooking consistently for about 4 years now and it's a big passion of mine. I love all kinds of paper-crafting and that includes card making. I also love to do other crafts including sewing Cricut covers and making diaper cakes. I am a member of the Fiskateers, I'm on the All Paper Crafts Design Team and I also started the website Ohio Scrappers.
Jennie
Hi there, my name is Jennie Coull, I live in Hastings New Zealand and I am happily married to Jon and a stay at home mum to 4 beautiful yet full on kids, I have been scrapbooking off and on for 5 years now, and love it! I like everything bright, funky, girly and my LOs the same. More is more in my book nine times out of ten.
Colleen
Hi, I am Colleen Flathers and I am addicted to scrapbooking. I have been scrapbooking since 1997 when I saw an ad for Creative Memories and signed up to be a consultant without ever having seen their product or scrapbooked, or so I thought. Turns out I had been scrapbooking my entire life, just didn’t know, 4-H record books and all kinds of the old fashioned scrapbooks. I am married with 2 daughters, 16 and 10. They provide me with the majority of my scrapbooking inspiration. My husband and our cat fill in the rest of my scrapbooking topics.
In order to support my habit, I spend my working hours as a alternative high school teacher. Next fall however, I will begin teaching 2 traditional Language Arts 9 classes along with working with my at-risk students. My husband is the athletic trainer for our school district, so I also spend a lot of time at our high school athletic events. I also volunteer at my church and am a Clover Kids 4-H leader. Needless to say with all of that I keep very busy, but always try to find time to scrapbook.
I post most of my work on my creative blog. I also post some of my work on Fiskateers and Log Your Memory.
Emily
I'm Judy's daughter. I'm 11 years old and in the 6th grade. I've been scrapbooking since I was 6 years old when my mom gave me a box of scrapbooking supplies for my birthday. My mom takes me to crops with her and we also scrap together in our basement. My favorite scrapbooking subjects are my cats, Flower and Oliver, and Morton who passed away last December. :-( I also like to draw and make jewelry. I sold a bunch of my handmade earrings at a craft fair my Mom and me did last fall. I take dance classes (tap and acro) and I'm in the drama club at school.

It was fun reading about all of us. Emily, I just want to say that you do awesome work. You sound a lot like my youngest daughter Kristen. She is 10 and loves to spend time with me scraping.
